In 2010 we were awarded a Schools First grant of $25 000 to develop a community garden in partnership with the Comboyne Community Centre (CCA). We hung the application onto the Futures Forum CCA project to initiate innovative projects to enhance and promote Comboyne as a viable community.
A committee has formed and a garden infrastructure coordinator was employed. The students have been fully involved from the initial planning stages. The following images show a series maths lessons where the students planned the location and sizing of a series of raised garden beds.
