September 2026 - Scarecrow Building

Our students had a wonderful time designing and constructing their scarecrows for the Comboyne Scarecrow Festival Competition. Guided by Bec, they brought their ideas to life with creativity, teamwork and plenty of enthusiasm. From the first sketches and plans through to the finished creations, it was fantastic to see their ideas develop along the way.

21st August 2026 - Book Parade

What an amazing day it was, with all students and staff putting in a wonderful effort to dress up for the book parade. Parents and carers joined us at the assembly as students showcased their costumes, followed by a special performance by the Principal and staff, celebrating the 'Symphony of Stories' theme.

28th July 2026 - NAIDOC Day at Wauchope High School for NAIDOC Week

As part of NAIDOC Week, our students travelled to Wauchope High School to take part in a special day of activities alongside students from other local schools. It was a wonderful opportunity to come together, learn, connect and celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and histories.

16th and 18th June 2026 - Lower North Coast Dance Festival

What a wonderful achievement for our school dance group, who proudly represented Comboyne Public School at the Lower North Coast Dance Festival held at the Glasshouse in Port Macquarie.

Under the dedicated leadership of Rebecca, our SLSO, the students devoted many hours to rehearsals and preparation. Their hard work was rewarded with a series of outstanding performances across the festival, culminating in the exciting selection of their Mission ImPAWsible routine for the Showcase Night.

We are incredibly proud of the commitment, teamwork and enthusiasm shown by all involved. Congratulations to our dancers and to Rebecca on this fantastic achievement!

4th June 2026 - Healthy Harold Life Education

Our students had a fantastic time taking part in the Healthy Harold Life Education program. Through fun and engaging activities, they learned important information about making healthy choices, looking after their wellbeing and developing positive lifelong habits.

22nd May 2026 - National Walk Safely to School Day

A little wet weather wasn’t going to stop us! Our students and staff joined in National Walk Safely to School Day, embracing the opportunity to reinforce the importance of pedestrian and road safety. It was a great way to encourage safe travel habits while enjoying some time together as a school community.

15th May 2026 - Debating Workshop

Some of our students recently enjoyed a fantastic day at Laurieton Public School, where they had the opportunity to develop their debating skills. Throughout the day, students built confidence in speaking, listening, forming arguments and responding to different points of view, while also connecting with students from other schools.

ANZAC DAY - Commemorations - 2026

Our student leaders proudly represented Comboyne Public School at the local ANZAC Day service, where they spoke as part of the commemoration and laid a wreath on behalf of our school community. Many of our students, along with all staff, also attended the service to pay their respects and honour those who have served.

April - 2026

Cross Country this year was held on the beautiful grounds of our school. Every student participated and we were lucky to have the weather on our side. We had 4 qualifiers who headed to the Lower North Coast Carnival in Kempsey in May.

Harmony Week was a wonderful success, with students taking part in activities that highlighted the importance of connection, inclusion, respect and belonging within our school community.

October - 2025

Our Year 4 to 6 students recently participated in an exciting 3 day Camp to the Big 4 Bays Park in Port Stephens where they went surfing, sand boarding, visited the Shark and Ray Centre and hung by the pool.

Our Kindy to Year 3 students were also able to enjoy a games afternoon while our Year 2 and 3 students had a fun camp out at our beautiful school!
