School events bring learning to life and help shape our school culture. They help students build confidence, connect with others and celebrate their progress. Events also give families a chance to be involved in school life and share in their child’s achievements.
Our school event may include:

Intensive Swim School
Date: 9th - 13th November
Our students will be participating in a week-long Water Safety Program at Wauchope Memorial Pool. Qualified swimming instructors will lead two sessions each day, helping students build their confidence, swimming skills and understanding of how to stay safe in and around the water.
Soccer Gala Day
Date: 17th September
The Bago Small Schools Soccer Gala Day will be held at Fairmont Gardens Oval - Wauchope.
Book Week Parade
Date: 24th - 28th August
This year’s Book Week theme is ‘Symphony of Stories’. Our school community is warmly invited to join us for the student Book Week parade on 21 August in the COLA, followed by morning tea and our annual Book Fair. We look forward to celebrating a love of reading and sharing this special event with our families and community.
NAIDOC Day (for NAIDOC week)
Date: 28th July 2026
Our students are invited to attend a day of celebrations At Wauchope High School for NAIDOC Week.
Bago Small Schools Athletics Carnival
Date: 3rd July 2026
All students will have the opportunity to participate in the annual Bago Small Schools Athletics Carnival, joining with students from other local schools for a day of athletics, teamwork and friendly competition.
Lower North Coast Dance Festival
Date: 16th and 18th June 2026
Once again, our school dance group, led by Bec, has been successfully selected to perform at the Glasshouse in Port Macquarie. Students will take to the stage across two exciting nights, with this year’s themes featuring animals and cheerleaders.

Life Education - Healthy Harold
Date: 4th June 2026
Healthy Harold, the much-loved giraffe, will be visiting our school again to engage students in fun and age-appropriate learning about healthy choices, wellbeing and preventative health education.
Debating Workshop
Date: 15th May 2026
Five students will participate in a debating workshop at Laurieton Public School. This will be a valuable opportunity for them to develop their public speaking and debating skills, learn how to construct and present an argument, and build confidence when speaking in front of others.
School Photos

MSP Photography will be visiting Comboyne Public School for our annual school photo day.
Glasshouse Excursion
Date: 7th May 2026
Our students had a fantastic time attending a performance of Moss Piglet, presented by Windmill Theatre Company.
The performance introduced students to the fascinating world of tardigrades—tiny but incredibly resilient creatures—through an imaginative journey from petri dishes and volcanoes to Arctic glaciers and even the moon. Featuring puppetry, choreography, live video and green screen technology, Moss Piglet was a highly engaging and creative theatre experience that our students thoroughly enjoyed.
