Athletic Success for Comboyne Public School

Last Monday was the Hastings/Camden Haven District Athletics Carnival at Laurieton and this year, our local school was well represented with competitors in long jump, shotput, 800, 400, 200 and 100m races. Our school team had come first in the small schools relay last term, beating the other teams by a significant margin, and although the competition was tougher at District, we still came first. Representing our school were Grace McKenzie, Hayley Bell and Luke and Remy Meier-Smith. Along with the school relay team, Luke also qualified for the District team in the 100m for coming a very close third. The Lower North Coast carnival was held on Monday at Wauchope and hopefully, we will be announcing further success next week.
